Kerry and I rented this movie, The Nines, last night. It was almost scary. It had an edge of horror.
IMDb.com says this about the plot:
A troubled actor, a television show runner, and an acclaimed videogame designer find their lives intertwining in mysterious and unsettling ways.
I'll add that it involves Ryan Reynolds being a sort of schitzophrenic god trapped in his own videogame. Yeah? I thought it wasn't a bad movie, quite original (no small feat these days). Also, Ryan Reynolds takes his shirt off. His abs made me forget Brad Pitt's name. Seriously. The cast also includes Melissa McCarthy (Sookie of Gilmore Girls), Hope Davis (who Kerry thinks I should know, but I've never seen before. She's in About Schmidt and Proof), and David Denman (The Office's Roy). Recommend.
In other news.... The writer's strike is over!!!! Yay!!!! Last night I watched The Daily Show and Colbert Report and the hosts had scripts! There were words in the teleprompters! It was brrrrilliant. I'm so happy. You know what this means. New TV is coming back. Scrubs, The Office, effing Grey's Anatomy. I'm beyond thrilled. Other good news: it looks like the only show not coming back is Bionic Woman. Those writers deserve it. That show never would've gotten picked up if good shows were being written.
Glorious.

I'm a Fricken Genius.
I made a 60 on my Electrical exam!!!!!!!!
Okay, okay, it may not sound impressive to get a D- on an exam, but it really is good. Dr. Snelsire is old and tired and gives tests with only 5 questions, graded right or wrong. No partial credit.
Again, missing 2 out of five isn't that impressive, but with complicated circuit questions its easy to make a little error. Anyway, usually the average is about a 40. So I kicked ass.
Mwahahahahahahha!
Vote Barack.

Or, The Best Night Ever
As it turns out, shooing a fly from you car can drastically change your luck. Notes from Miranda and my adventure to the Double Door in Chicago to see Joe Firstman
Occurrences Before Fly Removal:
-Gravity and Lipstick conspire to ruin Miranda's shirt
-the dryer makes the shirt more wrinkled
-Abby is cut in line at McDonald's
-Cheese and ranch dressing fall on Randa's black skirt
-Construction and traffic drive us onto an "alternate route"
-The alternate route went through a sketchy weird neighborhood
Occurrences After Fly Removal:
-Alternate route leads back to the Dan Ryan sans traffic
-We find free parking
-We've accidently arrived an hour before the doors open
-But our new best friend Curtis Peoples lets us into the club
-Where Joe Firstman is doing sound check
-And then calls us pretty
-Hours later we see an amazing show from a distance of 3 feet
-Afterwards Joe's tour manager invites us to an after party
-We got hugs and pics with Joe
-Joe said Miranda had a memorable face
-Joe's new CD was amazing all six times we listened to it on the way home
Joe is perfection. He's so good and he had a bass cellist in his band. Here are our pics.
