Needless to say, I'm happy. Barack rocked South Carolina hard core.
The best part is that Saturday night I was in this crappy bar in Greenville where a group of young Obamarama-ists were partying on after a long day of campaigning. I know this, not from talking to them (I'm unfriendly) but, from their t-shirts, stickers, practical walking shoes, exhausted faces, drunkenness, and their tireless shrieks of joy every single time Barack's face or polling numbers flashed across the screen on CNN--which was frequent.
So that was entertaining. Plus I was in G-Vegas with Melissa and JD & Jennifer and Josh & Ann and Kerry. A very quality group of bar mates.
Also, Sunday Melissa and I saw 27 Dresses. It was pretty romantic-comedy-tastic. Kathrine Heigl is always funnier than I expect her to be and James Marsden is totally hot. Plus there's a scene where the two dance on the bar singing "Benny and the Jets", one of my all-time favorite Elton John songs. Love it.
Coming up in life-- Weddings in Ashville, Super Bowl, papers about the influence of Ariel and Caliban in modern Mexican literature. Yeah. Be jealous.
Vote Obama.

And Wrastle They Did
So I went to WWE Raw, and it was wonderful. Everything you could hope professional wrestling would be. The fans were rowdy and the fights were super fake. But still, it takes a lot of talent to body slam someone off the ropes without injuring either party.
I went with Melissa, whose uncle is one of the wrestlers, HackSaw. Thats the one that carries an American Flag and hits people with a 2x4. It was fun to be with her, because she knows the whole "plot" if you will. She knows who has personal conflicts with Vince McMahan and who's been to anger management and who is sleeping with whose ex-girlfriend. Its like a soap opera.
So aside from the disappointingly small numbers of mullets and flashers, it was all a pretty enjoyable experience. I recommend everyone go once. Once is probably enough.

Happy Birthday Melissa!
Today is Melissa's 22nd. Once she goes, we all go. By 'all' I mean Ashley and me. And eventually Dana. I took the girl out to a lovely little lunch. We would party like rock stars, but Melissa is the abused child of the Accounting Dept and she has to proctor two exams today. She has to work every day this week. Unfortunate!
We'll make it up this weekend though, we're going to the mountains. Real World Tryon! Wooooo!
In other news? Meh. Life is school. And talking to boys. If it weren't for boys I'd have quit school looooong ago :) Yay funny boys.
Also I finally got my scholarship reinstated. Yay money!!!
