A Death in the Family

Some of you may have heard already, but there has been a death in my family. My beloved laptop, Dora the Second, suffered a massive coronary at 10:37am yesterday, January 24th, 2007. After performing ReBoot in the field repeatedly, I took her to the DCIT Laptop Medical Service Center in the Student Union. Unfortunately, they were unable to revive her. Her memory is preserved, but there was too much damage to her motherboard, and the doctors told me a transplant was unlikely bring her back in any recognizable form.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to "Abby's new laptop fund", at 6331 University Station.

The Day Abby Killed the Rainforest.

Today I printed my course materials for Technical Writing and my IE Human Factors classes. 32 pages for Writing and 65 for IE. Unbelievable amounts of death to trees. I have to read it all. Very sad.

I also pretended to be on the staff of the Tiger Newspaper in order to:
a) hang out with Dia
b) hang out with Ryan (also not on staff)
c) score free pizza

Those are in no particular order and, of course, the free pizza was the most important part.

That is all.
