We all know that I don't embarrass that easily. So it was pretty awesome yesterday when I got a bit rosy in the cheeks.
I'm sitting in Spanish Lit, listening to the brilliant thoughts of my (previously mentioned, famous) teacher Pfa. Heusinkveld. I may have mentioned that she's a very sweet older lady from Iowa. She's got the awesomely high-waisted trousers in a veritable rainbow of senior-specific colors and wears her ginger hair in a bizarre page-boy cut that she curls under. Anyway as she lectures she looks around the classroom and then at her book to reference quotes from the story and occasionally reads paragraphs aloud.
All the sudden her talking sort of fades off as she's looking into the class. Then she starts giggling a bit. She comes out of her head a bit and glances around, then starts laughing harder when she realizes that none of us know why she's laughing. It takes her a moment to compose herself then says, "Me gusta tu camisa Abby" (she likes my shirt). I flush. I say "Gracias" and slump a little in my chair.
But Senora can't let it go. I sit in the front row and no one else can see my fantastic tee. So Profesora says, "Su camisa dice. 'An awkward morning beats a boring night.'"
The class chuckles. I am bright red. Senora is nearly doubled over. Its soooo wrong. The class is exchanging horrified glances. Senora is saying who true it is. Dios Mio!
Vote Obama. Today!

I'm back with a side of embarassment
Its been a while. Engineering is hard. Bite me.
Last week I had a hard day, a 20 minute presentation followed by a Human Factors exam. I was (as usual) rushed and running late as I threw on the only presentable clothes I own and gulped down a cup of lukewarm coffee. I tossed my presentation notes, some writing utensils, my keys and cell phone into the knapsack Melissa gave me for my birthday and ran to class.
In Technical Writing the presentation went fine. I turned in the copies of the slides, my notes, everything is peachy.
Then I go to engineering. While leafing through my notes and chatting with my friends (I know every person in this class, we have everything together), I realize I need a pencil. So I reach into my bag and feel around for a pencil. I find one and when I try to take it out, its stuck. I tug on it, but nothing. I tug again and hear the jingling of keys. Must have gotten wrapped on the ribbon on my keychain.
So I try to disentangle it while its trapped in the bottom of my bag. This doesn't really work, and I'm 1 second from just jerking the whole mess out of the bag. Luckily, I glance into the bag. I see something bright blue.
Question Mark? What is blue in my bag? I look closer. There's black lace there too. Whaa??
Stomach drops. Thoughts dawn.
Its panties.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why are my panties in my bag and how have they become wrapped around my pencil? Oh yeah I took this bag to Dia and Lauren's when I stayed over there the week before. Must've missed them when I unpacked. Oops.
At least I didn't whip them out of the bag and flail them about the room. That would've been priceless.
Go me.
